About Me

I grew up in a small town and always wanted to write. I didn't really care what. I had many ideas running around in my head and was driven to get them written down. After high school, I didn't go straight to college, I went to work; I had much to learn!

After being in the workforce for a few years, I decided to bite the bullet and go to college at age thirty. With an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Business with a minor in Sociology, I had many questions about the death penalty. Pursuing a graduate degree in Political Leadership and Public Service, I was able to exorcise some of the nagging questions regarding the death penalty but those answers led to more questions about the American Judicial System as a whole.

At age forty-nine I was able to pen the first of twelve short stories for my protagonist, Banjo Standhope, and as recently as March 2025 published the first three short stories in The Travels of Banjo Standhope, Volume One. The Second and Third volumes will be released by Summer with Volume Four due out sometime before year's end.

Lastly, I'm excited to tread lightly into novel writing with two new storylines and new characters. You might still see some time travel and overarching societal flaws I see in real life but, the books will longer and, most likely, stand alone stories.

That's me 😊
